Modern Hormone brings diagnostics, physician-led treatment, metabolic optimization, regenerative medicine, body composition, recovery and longevity care into one coordinated practice in North Scottsdale — held by one physician instead of split across four clinics that never speak to each other.
Hormones are the system most patients arrive for. Every plan begins with a comprehensive baseline, because testosterone, estradiol, thyroid and cortisol are read together — not one number at a time.
The core program for men and women: comprehensive labs, an individualized hormone plan, and dose adjustment driven by repeat testing.
Physician-monitored testosterone replacement with hematocrit, estradiol and PSA tracked — not a mail-order vial.
Perimenopause, menopause and the symptoms that get dismissed as normal, evaluated properly and treated with bioidentical hormone therapy where appropriate.
The whole male picture — hormones, metabolic health, cardiovascular risk and energy — held by one physician rather than split across clinics.
Desire, function and confidence for men and women, worked up from hormones and blood flow rather than handed a prescription.
Weight that will not move is usually a signaling problem before it is a willpower problem. Metabolic care here sits alongside hormone optimization, because insulin, thyroid and sex hormones move together — and body composition is refined afterwards with FunSculpting® contouring rather than instead of the medical work.
Physician-supervised weight management with GLP-1 therapy where appropriate, and monitoring built specifically to protect lean muscle through the loss.
For adults who train: deeper diagnostics, hormone and metabolic optimization, and recovery support on a single measured plan.
Peptides are prescription therapies selected after lab work and monitored by a physician — not supplements, and not a category to self-prescribe from the internet. Many peptides are not FDA-approved for the treatment of specific conditions; Dr. Dean will tell you what is established, what is investigational, and what is not appropriate for you before anything is prescribed.
Regenerative care at Modern Hormone uses your own tissue or blood, evaluated case by case. These services are not FDA-approved for the treatment of any specific condition unless otherwise stated, and are performed only under physician supervision after evaluation.
The overview: what regenerative care can and cannot reasonably be expected to do, and how candidacy is decided here.
Cell therapy prepared from your own fat tissue, directed by a physician and evaluated case by case.
Platelet-rich plasma prepared from your own blood and administered by the physician, used for joints, tendons, skin and hair.
PRP and cell-based hair restoration — after the hormonal, thyroid and nutrient causes of hair loss have actually been evaluated.
In-office procedures performed by the physician rather than delegated — for the things that diet, training and hormones alone do not resolve.
Awake, in-office contouring under local anesthetic on an FDA 510(k)-cleared system, with optional transfer of your own fat.
Treatment for excessive sweating, evaluated by a physician who also looks for the hormonal and metabolic contributors most clinics skip.
Longevity care is the same medicine measured over years instead of visits: deeper diagnostics, risk found early enough to change, and a plan reviewed on a schedule.
Comprehensive baseline diagnostics, repeat measurement and hormone and metabolic optimization planned over years rather than appointments.
In-office intravenous nutrient and NAD+ infusions, given as part of a physician-directed plan rather than as a standalone drip menu.
Structured recovery combining hormone, peptide, IV and regenerative tools under one plan — for training load, injury or burnout.
Every plan at Modern Hormone starts from the same comprehensive panel, drawn once and read together across nine systems. We measure more so the decisions that follow are better informed — not because a longer list is a better outcome. A marker only earns its place if it changes what we would do next.
This is also why “your labs are normal” and “your labs are optimal” are different sentences. A panel that is technically within range can still explain exactly how you feel.
The exact panel is confirmed at your consultation and may be adjusted to your history and sex. Educational information only — not a diagnosis or a treatment recommendation.
The same four phases run underneath every service on this page. It is what keeps a hormone plan, a weight plan and a regenerative plan from behaving like three unrelated treatments.
The 62-marker baseline and a real examination, before anything is prescribed.
Dr. Dean walks you through what the panel shows and says honestly whether this is the right path.
A written plan built for your body and your goal, delivered in office or by telehealth.
Re-test, adjust, re-test. The step most programs skip, and the only way to know a plan is working.
Most of the services above are not one-time procedures — they are care that has to be re-measured and adjusted. Modern Membership is how that ongoing relationship is structured, with routine labs, continuous monitoring, priority scheduling and member pricing. You do not need to choose a membership to be seen; you decide after the consultation and the baseline.
Most patients do not choose. You book a consultation, we run the baseline, and Dr. Dean tells you which part of the picture is actually driving how you feel — which is frequently not the service people arrive asking about.
No. The consultation and baseline labs come first, and you decide afterwards. Membership exists because optimization is ongoing care rather than a single appointment — see the membership options for what each level includes.
Everything is available at the North Scottsdale clinic at 13840 N Northsight Blvd #121. Procedures and infusions are in-office by nature; many hormone and metabolic follow-ups can continue by telehealth once baseline labs and an exam are done.
Modern Hormone is a cash-pay practice. Some laboratory work may be billable through your own plan, HSA and FSA funds often apply, and Cherry financing is available. Every program shows its price before you commit to it.
Dr. Jeffrey Dean, NMD, personally reviews every panel, builds every plan and makes every adjustment. There are no hand-offs to a different provider between visits.
Then we say so. Normal-but-unoptimized is the most common finding here and it is treatable. Genuinely optimal labs alongside real symptoms means the answer is elsewhere — and we refer rather than treat something that is not the problem.
Choosing a therapy before anyone has looked at your labs is how people end up on the wrong one. Come in, get measured, and let the physician tell you what the panel actually shows. If we are not the right answer, we will say so.
